What does a Munchkin look like?
The Munchkin's body and head are those of an ordinary cat, but the legs are short, sometimes very short. The coat can be any length, color or pattern, so the legs are the only defining feature.
Munchkin personality
Munchkins are outgoing and playful. They run fast and still climb, though they jump less high than long-legged cats.
How to care for a Munchkin
Care is the same as for any cat. Some vets and registries have concerns about the short-leg gene and spine problems, so ask about health screening.
How do I know if my cat is a Munchkin?
Look at the legs from the side. If the belly sits only a few centimeters above the floor while the body is normal-sized, it may be a Munchkin.
