What does a Turkish Angora look like?
The Turkish Angora is slender and elegant with a long neck, long legs and a silky, semi-long coat that has no undercoat. The tail is long and plumed, the ears large, pointed and often tufted. White is the best-known color, often with blue, amber or odd eyes.
Turkish Angora personality
Angoras are lively, clever and assertive. They like to be in charge and on high perches.
How to care for a Turkish Angora
Brush weekly. The single silky coat rarely mats. White cats with blue eyes are more often deaf.
How do I know if my cat is a Turkish Angora?
A slim, silky, semi-long white cat with a plumed tail suggests a Turkish Angora. A Persian is heavier with a flat face. A white house cat usually has a thicker coat or a sturdier body.
